Houston Haul

Hey guys! I know, I know "holy crap you're finally using your blog?!" I sure am :D! I just got back from visiting my brother in Houston, TX and they have a MAC and Sephora, so of course I had to get something lol. I also picked up a few NYX things from ULTA :] just thought I'd share!

Sephora's Mattifying Foundation. I'm REALLY loving this! This was especially awesome to have down in Houston with all that humidity and hot hot sun! Not only that, but when you swipe your finger across it, it's sooo smooth! I know, it's kind of a weird thing to say, but take my word for it haha!

M.A.C.'s eyeshadow refill in "Beauty Marked". I'm scared I might regret getting this. I'm trying to find a way to make it look like the "Young Punk" eyeshadow that came out in the Style Black collection. I have "Sensual" by NYX and they're rather similar, but not totally.

"Pure Skin" eyeshadow by NYX. I really wanted to try out a new highlight color. This has such great color payoff when I swiped my finger across it, can't wait to use it! It's pretty warm for a highlight, so we'll see what we can do with it.

"Purple Velvet" Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil by NYX. I got this to use with "Beauty Marked" to give it a more purple base. I'm not impressed with this one's color payoff. I wish you could see it better, I swear it's not black lol

NYX's lip liner in "Red Hot". It's a true red, that's for sure. I just think every girl needs some red in her life lol!

NYX's Mega Shine Lipgloss in "Sugar Pie". This was an accidental buy. I forgot to put it back and ended up buying it haha. I was carrying it around because I'd shown my boyfriend's sister how similar it was to the Sephora lipgloss I'd just gotten. They're pretty much exactly alike and I love them, so it's not a very big deal.

Sephora's lipgloss in "Natural Look". Smells great, wears for a long time. The only thing I don't like is sometimes it can feel a little "gritty". It's weird because it's not a chunky glitter lipgloss. Otherwise, I LOVE IT!

Text Vomit

So basically a lot of things have been going through my mind. New ideas for tutorials, thoughts of reviews, show and tells, giveaways, etc.

I'm trying to look at the fact that all my videos being deleted is going to allow me to start anew. And personally, I'm really like the thought of that. There were a lot of old videos that I'm not too fond of [not fond of how the outcome was, or the filming, etc.]. But, now this gives me a chance to redo them for me and all my viewers :D! And I find that rather exciting!

**Warning: Random time**

Here are a few snapshots of the eyeshadow I was wearing in my "Message Thru Space: Now's Your Chance" video. I've already gotten a few requests on it. I'm not too sure if these pics do it justice, though. I really liked this look :]!

ON AN EXCITING NOTE! I am going to be doing a Zodiac Series! Beginning with Capricorn, since we are in the time of Capricorn at this moment. I've ALWAYS been into Astrology and I got a request to do this series about a year and a half ago. This will also force me to post a video at least once a month :D! I'm really excited about it!

So About My YouTube

A few weeks ago I was going to show my boyfriend something on one of my videos, to find that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY VIDEOS HAD BEEN DELETED!

I still have no idea what happened, and I just really don't even want to know.

Instead, I'm looking at this as an opportunity to start anew.  I have a few of my old videos, but I don't know if I'll repost them or not.  This is everyone's chance to give requests on tutorials they'd like to see or anything else :].

Big City Lights Eyeshadow Tutorial

Big City Lights Eyeshadow Tutorial
  • This look is a more advanced one and not exactly the easiest to dupe, seeing as I used the BHcosmetics 120 palette.  However, I have included an image of all the colors I used and will explain a bit further down
  • This look was inspired by the thought of being in a huge city when the sun has almost left no light left to the sky and the big city lights begin to burn bright!
  • Here are some more pictures from the look :]

Products I used on my eyes:

  • Urban Decay's Primer Potion in "Eden" [new product of mine]
  • NYX's Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in "Milk" [depotted, I have a video of this process]
  • On the lid I used #1 [the blue and shimmer black circled in the image below]
  • On the outer "V" I used #2 [the shimmery turquoise-ish green color]
  • On the inner corner, connecting to/mixing with the outer-corner I used #3.  I really wanted this part to look pretty vibrant because I didn't want it to look like a weird yellowy-green, so you can see in the video I applied it quite a few times haha!
  • For the highlight I used a light sandy/champagne color from Smashbox called "Pronto".  I LOVE this highlight because it's NOT overly shimmery!
  • For my eyeliner I used my new L'Oreal H.I.P. eyeliner in Metallic Black
  • I used Sephora's Triple Action Mascara in "Ultra Black" [not a big fan of this mascara].
